Excellent tutorials for learning practical Curam application development concepts. Many times when a new requirement is to be developed under a tight deadline, there is hardly any time left to go through the lengthy reference manuals/guides.
However, your insightful, yet succinct, explanations and relevant discussions of important development topics and concepts not only supplement in certification exam/interview preparation, but also facilitate and enrich real-time application development efforts.
It would be great if you could also shortlist along with the tutorials any potential avoidable pitfalls that developers may inadvertently fall into. This can make the readers be wary of good development practices and can help avoid making costly mistakes.
Thanks a lot for generously sharing your expert knowledge and making the learning so much easier for so many of us. 🙂
Hi Dharmendra,
In the spirit of knowledge sharing, I would like to list out some Curam-specific interview questions that I was asked during a Curam Developer interview recently. I would appreciate your take on answering these questions.
Q1. How would you add pagination into a UIM page? Do you have to perform any modeling changes to accomplish this?
Q2. How would you make sure that all environment specific SQL statements are executed seamlessly across different environments (DEV, SIT, UAT, PROD)?
Q3. Explain briefly how you would develop a workflow in Curam.
Q4. Enumerate steps required to upgrade Curam from V5, to V7. What are the challenges, and what steps did you take to overcome them?
Note: I think this question requires its own separate blog post to answer, as any upgrade effort easily takes months to culminate.
Q5. What steps would you take to develop a Curam batch program? How can you ensure improved batch performance?
Q6. What would happen when you copy an OOTB codetable (.ctx) file as it is and place it in custom folder followed by running ant target “build ctgen”?
Thanks a lot for your questions.
