What is Quality Assurance and What are it’s Importance?


Introduction


Quality assurance (QA) is any systematic process of determining whether a product or service meets specified requirements.

QA establishes and maintains set requirements for developing or manufacturing reliable products. A quality assurance system is meant to increase customer confidence and a company’s credibility, while also improving work processes and efficiency, and it enables a company to better compete with others.
Most of the company (All Domain) spend a lot of amounts to make sure their products are with high quality. Companies set up a process to assure the quality of the product and prepare a predefine Quality Assurance checklist. Also, Company hires many Quality Assurance’s certified professionals to do the work.
In a layman term, we can say “The quality assurance is activities and management processes that are done to ensure that the products and services the project delivers are at the required quality level. It is process driven and focused on the development of the product or delivery of the service.”

Quality Assurance is very critical and the success of the product depends on this process. It applied to all most all business like Manufacturer, Healthcare, Food Industry, Information Technologies etc.

The importance of quality assurance


According to Wikipedia quality assurance definition, it is a way of preventing mistakes or defects in manufactured products and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to customers’. But there’s, in fact, more than that about quality assurance. There are numerous benefits of having a QA team in place, like:

  • It helps meet clients’ demands and expectations most fully
  • It works to build trust with customers and beat the competition in the long run.
  • It is effective for saving costs by detecting and fixing issues and flaws at early stages.
